One consistent way BRAVE brings our mission to life is through workshop programming. These sessions are developed and implemented by the BRAVE team. We work hard to specifically meet the needs of the participants, whether a rookie or veteran BRAVE chapter school or an autonomous school, organization or community. Together, we collaborate on decision about the timing, the length, the topic, the location and more. Each session engages participants in the BRAVE mission; challenging and inspiring them to be BRAVE and self-empowered contributors to a better world. All sessions are unique, interactive, energized and very participant centered. In the 2017-2018 year, BRAVE hosted 23 workshops across 13 different communities, reaching over 1,800 participants. Of those who participated last year:
95% agreed that the workshop was both effective and impactful.
91% felt empowered to lead others in their community.
94% believe the workshop helped strengthen their leadership skills.

Service Learning Experiences
One avenue through which BRAVE is committed to in order to bring our mission to life is service learning. Historically we have engaged in several domestic and international partnerships that created opportunities for us to facilitate direct service experiences for BRAVE participants. In our last fiscal year we hosted several important and powerful projects. In July 2017, we implemented our first ever international service learning trip and worked with a team of Canadians and Dominicans to build a school in Imbert, DR. Next summer, in 2019, BRAVE will embark on our second international service learning trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Together, we will be working to achieve sustainable, positive change. While we are excited to engage in this opportunity, first we are working quickly and diligently to acquire the funds necessary to provide important resources and materials for our projects. Donate today and support the creation of sustainable space for students to learn, lead, lend and love.
At The BRAVE Institute, we firmly believe in our mission and the hard work necessary to achieve it and ultimately contribute to a better world. Over the last three years we have developed lasting partnerships with several organizations, clubs, schools and communities who are also committed to doing important work in an effort to contribute to a better world. At BRAVE, we want to work with others in order to help one another be successful. We have worked together with other organizations, communities, and schools on program development, facilitator training, professional development, curriculum development and more. BRAVE also consults with new students, teachers and administrators who are looking to establish a new BRAVE chapter at their school. Through our collaborations, we have been able to work and learn together with our partners toward accomplishing even more positive and powerful initiatives and projects for sustainable change.
